Hmm trying to look at what could possible move it all to the right not ignornng ya debbie lol.. Just thiking as it is probly somthing simple I am missing.. Those are the hardest ones lol the easy things.. Did you try pressing F11?

Maybe an uninstall of IE then a reinstall may sort it out?via add and remove.

Ya lol that did not even enter my mind...Easy way to fix it and its fast..

Control panel...Add/remove programs/ Click the window that says add/remove windows components...Untick IE7...do the same thing to install

thanks for all your replies
I found out what it was, spyware had got onto my pc...mysidesearch.sidebar.dll
found the file and googled it, and then found a way to get rid of it, so my pc is all back to normal again
