Hey all

I'm having trouble with my uncles laptop.....from what he gave me, he has a Toshiba Laptop with a Celeron R, 512 MB...thats all i know
He's running with a Motorolla Comcast SBV5220

He can't connect to the internet
He's using IE Ver 6.0

WinXP home edition

he gets the "page cannot be displayed" window
also, on his comcast, he says that the link button is not on?

what solutions are there for gettin him up and back to the internet??
(we have tried clearing history, temp, etc...)

what do you mean the link button?
Click Start/Run and type in cmd and hit Enter
At the prompt type in ipconfig, is there an ip address listed?

yeah we tried that but it didnt work
ill try again

but on the comcast, there is a light that indicates a "link" im guessing
and thats not on
