I have a DSL connection that is connected from the socket straight to a Linksys WAG200G wireless ADSL router via a normal phone cable. And from the router, connected to the computer via ethernet cable. I think my hardware driver is: Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller.
I keep getting disconnected for a whole minute every once in a while. Sometimes i get disconnected every 10 minutes. Sometimes every hour. I have contacted my ISP a number of times and they checked the phone line and said there is nothing wrong with it. They say it might be a problem with my computer or router.
here are my router settings as provided by my ISP:
.: Batelco :.
VPI value: 8 VCI value: 35 Encapsulation: Routed PPPoA only (
PPPoE is not supported) Multiplexing method: VC or VC-MUX (
LC or LLC is not supported)
They told me thats all the information i would need and that everything else should be automatic. Anyway, nobody can seem to find the solution to this problem. Please help.
Thanks!
