Default Please HELP!!!

I can not use Internet Explorer 7 (w/Windows Vista that came with the computer), it say Page can not be displayed!
A little background, this started thursday night, we tried to download mcafee from comcast and that didn't work so we went and bought a program from the store. Then found out we had Norton that came w/the computer so had to call them to uninstall it, 45 minutes later it was finally uninstalled. Got McAfee installed so it could check for a virus and there was nothing, it said everything was fine. Then we called Comcast to see if that was the problem (even though we could get on the XBOX Live w/no problems). Everything was fine on their end. Finally called HP we tried to find the problem, the only thing that did was say "World Wide Web Port is not established", we did a restore to the 5th, and all that did was go back to before I had Norton uninstalled (so now I have to call them back to get it uninstalled again). HP suggested we call comcast again. So again I called Comcast and could not find any problem. So we did a system restore b/c i am out of ideas and that still did not help???????

Can someone please help or tell me what to do or have any ideas?? I am getting ready to go in a big circle again and not sure what to do.

I had this same issue awhile back, my best guess is that McAfee is to blame, although I didn't ever investigate it beyond that point. Try contacting McAfee support, or better yet just return it (if you can) and download Avast! Antivirus and ZoneAlarm Free firewall.
