I need to access the internet from a Canadian IP address from the United States. How would you do so and are what programs are needed to accomplish this?

I basically want to route from my computer in the US to a computer/server that I will set up in Canada, but I have no clue how I would begin to do this.

Is this your server? Is it behind a firewall? What method will you be using to access the server?

I will be setting up a server in Toronto, Canada, but that's as much as I know. As for a firewall, I really don't know. I am not tech saavy at all, so I need to know where to start in order to accomlish this.

Is there a program of some sort I need to install?
How would I go about setting up a server in Canada?
