While surfing the web periodically ill get the following message from Firefox



I use Netscape Navigator 9 also, and it just says it cant connect, so i take it the same is going on there because its based on Gecko.

So what could be going on?

...and the sites show if you use IE?

Nope. ive only tried it in IE once though, i hate IE.
IE 6 just says "cannot connect"
eventually, all i normally have to is close all the browsers and wait a minute or two, then it runs fine again until it happens again.
So, it cant be Firefox, i should have realized that in the beginning.
When this happens however, other internet apps like AIM run fine, never lose a connection there.
So what could be going on?

Could be a couple of things...try these and let us know if any of them resolve the issue;

1) Try flushing your DNS cache. In a command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns (and hit enter)
2) Make sure your LAN card isn't going to sleep by right clicking on it and selecting the "Power Management" tab in Device Manager
3) Flash the firmware on your internet router

Well, scratch what i said earlier, now IE 6 can get online while Firefox still is getting the message
Flushing DNS didnt work
nor did checking the power, its in CAM mode (constanly awake mode)
and my firmware is up to date
