yesterday i went and got a new laptop it is a toshiba equium A200-1VO
i asked what i need to use it wirless he said its built in you just need the router, he asked who was my isp i said virgin so he sold me a netgear wireless g cable router,
got home put the disc in said need to connect to internet and to install it first,
put in my virgin disc half way though it says "device error you computer does not have an ethernet card (nic)."
i have a hole to plug the ethernet cable in and have installed a realtek ethernet driver
does this mean i have to buy a ethernet card?

Hi mark3925,

You shouldn't need the virgin disk I wouldn't have thought if connecting via a router. Just use the router setup pages (Found at 192.168.0.1) and enter your isp details to connect to the net. Then connect via the wireless to the router and you will have net access.

thanks i didn't need the disc i got confused when it said i need the internet on there first and i didn relise i could go online without a disc
any way all wire free now great thanks for you help
