Default Can get to my modem's interface.

Hey guys. I just changed my ISP today but I'm having trouble getting to my modem's interface to make some very needed changes. The modem is connected to a belkin router that running DD-WRT firmware.

Here are my specs:
ARRIS TM502G modem
Belkin F5D7230-4 v1444 router with Firmware: DD-WRT v23 SP1 Final (05/16/06) micro
Win Xp SP2

The guy that came to install the modem used 192.168.100.1 to get to the modem's interface but when I try it nothing comes up. Any ideas on how I can get to it?

You could try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.2

Try and see if one of those work, if not post back here.

Hmm, that's odd. Try following the instructions below...

First check for the physical connections between the computer and the router. There should be a cable (cat5 or above) running from one of the LAN port of the router to the Ethernet card in the computer.
If the computer is wireless, it should be associated to the Router/AP.
Check for any firewalls (Mcafee, Norton Internet Security) on the computer, which should be disabled.
Check for an IP Address on the computer in the range of the router i.e. 192.168.2.x (x can range from 2 to 254). The router also assigns an automatic IP address to the computers in the range 192.168.2.x (x can range from 2 to 100). For instructions on how to check the IP address on the computer, Refer to Article 13.
If you are not getting an IP Address on the computer from the router you will need to manually assign an IP Address to the computer.
You also need to restore the Internet Explorer browser to its default settings.
Go to Control Panel and click Internet options. Select the Program Tab and click on Reset Web Settings.
You should be able to get the router's configuration page if the above instructions are followed in order.

I can get to my router interface just fine. It's the modem that I'm trying to get to. Everything else is working as it should.

Hi,

This is Comcast hardware and as such there isn't a way to enter the config pages. They simply don't want ppl messin' with the settings etc.

That's strange. The guy they sent to install the modem was able to do it. I even have the IP address he used in my page history. If he can, can't I?

Edit: Does that mean I won't be able to do port forwarding?
