Default Homepage

Hello

Ive recently come across a problem. I was downloading some things and in the process have my homepage stuck on a page I dont want. Along with this page there is also a second page that pops up which is of the 'use your imagination' type.

Internet options wont let me change the homepage setting as the buttons are greyed out and are not able to be selected.

I have tried running my virus scan (AVG) as well as Adaware but to no avail. I have also tried to go into add/remove and removed anything i thought looked strange

Can someone please suggest what I can do. I'm not the best with computers so an easy explanation would be appreciated, if there is one of course.

Thanks

Hello Holez and welcome to PCHF
There is a working link to the Prework in my signiture.
Basically it will allow our security team to analyze the logs and guide you on clearing your pc from any virus/spyware etc.

My apologies...link is fixed now.
It is a series of instructions to follow in order to speed the process of malware removal from your PC...sometimes the Prework is sufficient-- other times specialized help is required.
Kind of like the tests before you see the doctor.
