Default Strange Problems with YouTube?

Recently i decided to restore my computer to factory defaults, cleaned everything out, and now run most everything music ect from an external hard drive. That aside since doing this i have had problems with playing videos on YouTube and only YouTube, it seems that my computer has no trouble playing videos or flash apps from any other website. The YouTube videos will play from Internet explorer 7 but it takes about 5 min to start playing, they will not even play in firefox. It seems that i always have the strangest problems with my computer so if anyone knows anything about this problem or has any suggestions please let me know. The only thing that has been different since the harddrive wipe was a change in my antivirus software but i have added youtube as a trusted site and it still will not cooperate. PLEASE HELP.

Hi welcome to PCHF--

Bad cookies cause wierd stuff on websites --clean it out good-- also-- check your settings for youtube's site in IE itself-- you can add it to trusted sites there also. Tools/options/security/privacy tabs -- check cookie settings.
