For 4 days I've been trying to download a large 1.1 Gigabyte file, the demo for Clive Barker's Jericho, but so far I've been unsucessful. Everytime I tried to download the file the download would either reset or freeze up. Now, the wierd thing is that I tried 6 different sources and 2 different PCs, but the download would either reset or freeze up. I even used Download Accelerator on 2 of those tries and even through file planet, which uses a seperate download program but somehow the download keeps resetting! Does anyone have an idea just what the hell is going on, because this problem is really irritating me *ALOT*!!! Thanks in advance

Hmmm...do you have enough disk space in the location you're trying to save to?
Also, try another browser to the one you're using.
All on the same network? This could be network related of course....keep an eye on your router/modem when you are downloading this next time..watch out for anything abnormal, such as a break in the power or internet/network connection.

Are you using Internet Explorer? I've heard that IE can have problems downloading big files.

I definatly have enough room on both of my PCs, and today I decided to use Firefox for this demo as well. But it still locked up. I'll give my Network Service a call (I'm using NEMR, NorthEast Missouri Rural) and see if I can fix this problem, but I have a feeling that my Internet Service will try to blame me for this problem (that have before, those jerks).

Some ISP's have built-in bandwidth limiters that will cut you off...

Hey, you've just given me an idea! I'll use Bittorent! It'll be slower, but I'll surely get it! Still though, I'll contact my ISP tommorow to see if they can do anything about this.
