What i mean is that, occasionally, i have spent ages trying to get something to work on one user acount, then i eventually make a new one, but because of some strange thing that happens, i dont know why, but the settings are all default on the new user acount, this is also a bigger problem, if the acounts were made at the same time, if you have a setup CD try running it once in each user account that isnt working, see how it goes.

BTW i have had some trouble with IE in vista myself, my solution was to use Firefox, try giving that a whirl, it can sometimes succede where IE fails

Thanks for the info, it worked on firefox for a time then, it stopped working after a few hours, so I turned it on the nex day and it was working again what is going on?

i would say that it could be something to do with the network resetting itself while it is on, go into command prompt and type "ipconfig" take note of the ip address and other settings under your network adapter that you're using to access the internet. then go into network settings for your network adapter and configure it to these manually and see if it dissconnects again, also do the ipconfig bit when it's just booted, or while in the one that the internet alwqays works on

and while in the others if it stops working try installing something that can cononect to the internet, be it a game or otherwise, if it doesnt connect then you have a global problem, if it does then its to do with the browsers, i'll post again if i have any ideas
