Just wondering if any members have had problems with the latest update from Microsoft, manely KB933566 its from a batch of around 5 update mid june. My brother runs two desktops and a laptop on a home network. Both his desktop and laptop wont connect to the internet and IE says "cannot display this webpage". He has Norton security on laptop and McCaffee on desktop. Now his sons desktop runs Vista and can connect and works normaly. He has tried deleting the last updates to no avail, has even done a fresh install, still no luck. He tried using system restore, a few other sites users say they used this to turn back and then made the update hidden from windows. But when he tried this it kept saying that the restore points were not available.

Some say loging on as administrator works, any other ideas fellas?

I did read in the press prior to these updates that they could cause problems, did a google and 125,000 results. Nice one Microsoft.

An update guys. Its now effecting my AOL email program now. Cant delete messages it results in IE hanging. In fact its just done it whilst trying to post this reply. According to my brother his pc started playing up a week ago and had intermitent trouble logging on an now it wont log on at all. And now mine is looking very doddgy, looks like this update is causing IE7 to hang. Have read that reverting to IE6 cures this but dont want to do that. Wonder how long Msoft will take to provide a patch? must have sent 7 error report today myself. LOL

looks like the only way to resolve this untill Ms come up with a patch, is too uninstall the update .

Yes had to delete the update for internet explorer, email works fine now. Had to turn of automatic updates though, will keep an eye open for patch.
