i have IE6 and i was wondering how to disable the drop down menu, it is redicuously annoying.

yes is can tell you what drop down menu. here is one of the places i encounter it. i went to google and searched something and as soon as i hit the first key a drop down menu appeared. this happens on all sites. i believe the feature is auto-complete.

to turn it off go to tools-->internet options-->Content tab--->AutoComplete-->uncheck all of the checked boxes

done
