Default Cannot access site/Rhapsody Help

Argh, I am at wits end, so here is my problem, its two parts and it’s a long one but I would love any help I can get! I have had rhapsody for about a year now and it has worked fine until about a week ago. For some reason I can no longer connect to the rhapsody server when trying to sign in and to make matters worse, for some reason I cannot access the real.com website (I think these two problems are related; when I try to access the website it gives me the ole “cannot access website” message). I consider myself somewhat of a knowledgeable computer user (I will specify my problem solving steps below), but I am completely flabbergasted in this instance! Any help would be MUCH appreciated, before I break down and call up some tech person to come out to my house.

Ok here is the scenario and what I did…

The problem is NOT computer specific; I have a secured home network with two computers on it (a desktop that is wired to the network and a laptop that uses wifi) and they are both experiencing the same problems (i.e. cannot connect to rhapsody and cannot connect to real.com). I have called rhapsody tech and gone through the rigmarole of uninstalling rhapsody and reinstalling it (with all of the firewall settings reconfiguring to what they believed would enable my rhapsody use). I have turned off all of my firewall settings and even made sure to accept real.com under any internet setup screens that I have come across. I even uninstalled my security center (mcafee) to no avail. I am pretty sure it is something wrong with either my router or ISP (I have charter cable if that matters in any way), I am guessing this because when I connect my laptop to another internet connection (thank you neighbors unsecured WIFI J) I can access real.com and use rhapsody, no problem. I have also gone into my routers settings (it is a Linksys WRT54G) and made sure that the firewall was not blocking real.com (oh yeah and I tried to ping real.com from this config prompt and it timed out). One last thing, I have set up a static IP address and have messed with that as well. So as you can see I have tried a lot of things. Again, I am at wits end, I love rhapsody and not having my daily dosage of music leaves me crippled and crying in the corner of my room… any help would receive massive respect from my end!

Thank you all so much!
Chris
