Something appears to be wrong with the time listed when I post on sites such as Facebook, or when I have songs logged on Last.FM

For example: if I post a message on someone's wall on facebook at 9PM (E.S.T), it will say I posted the message at 6PM.

Can anyone suggest what may be wrong?

It is your facebook time settings. Try editing them to match your timezone.
