Firstly hello.

A couple of questions if i may.

I use firefox as my main browser and it wont load some pages so i tryed to use internet explorer and it says my addons are disabled, so i follow the instructions to click tools and then manage addons but the "manage addons" option is greyed out so thats that????

Another question will windows still update if i use firefox as my main browser?

Couple of questions for you;
1) Is your copy of Windows genuine?
2) Are you on a domain or corporate network that uses group policy?

Im sure my windows is genuine my inlaws gave it to me as they had a spare copy (they run a small company and didnt use one of thier copies)

And the second question im not sure of but do you mean share a software licience? Im sure the copy i have was bought form PC World.

The best way to know for certain that you have a genuine copy of Windows (and no-one is saying you haven't ) is to go to Microsoft Windows Update (in IE) and see if you can get to the updates.

No, it's ok, I think we're dealing with a "Home" PC here aren't we?
