Default AOL Connectivity Services

A "dialog box" request from AOL to "Update Now" is on my monitor. How do I decline to "Update Now" and get rid of the pesky window? I say the dialog box is pesky because I am forced to move the dialog box around to get out of my way in doing normal use of AOL. In fact, the dialog box is blocking my view of this PCHF window! Thanks to anyone that can help me!

Whhhhyyyy Paul wwwwwhhhhyyyyy?

Well I have no idea!! Everytime I've seen an AOL install CD, I usually burn it, dance around it naked, cover myself in paint and chant words I've never heard before!!! Worst ISP ever! I think you'll find that conclution amongst all the tech's here, but I'm sure if anybody has any experience with AOL, they will post shortly. Can you not at least use Internet Explorer instead or are you using dialup?

Welcome to PCHF paulnordin!

The only way to get rid of that dialog box is to end task it with Task manager - ctrl + alt + del.

Im ex-AOL now, and MM plusnet are still bad

AOL or Plus.net? You would choose AOL Snake Eyes? There's always one!

I remember when AOL tried to come to australia...they were offering 90 days (3 months) free dialup internet...sounds good right??...but you had to supply your credit card...and after that 3 months - you start paying....no warning...caught out so many people.....
i still see people who are with them because they're too lazy to change...
