Arrow Two routers for the same modem?

I have a 54mbps netgear(small range)wireless router and i just bought a 700ft range 125mbps belkin G router. the range on the netgear is very weak, but my mom uses it for a direct connection for her desktop pc. i want the 700ft belkin so i can be in my room or at the neighbors and still be on the net. how do i set this up?

Hey WB Mitch,

Why don't you just install the Belkin router instead of the NetGear, and change the configuration on your Mom's desktop to connect through that? It doesn't make sense to use two wireless routers and they could potentially conflict with one another.

The scenario where you would use two routers is if one were non-wireless, and one was wireless. If you need help setting up the Belkin so that both PCs can use it, just let us know.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Additionally to LGW's information...

It is possible to connect 2 routers together in a "daisy chain"...i'm not sure if it is possible to use the wireless connection to do it, but you can definately use a "cross over cable" to connect the 2 routers. As LGW suggested however...why not just use the Belkin instead?
