Default Browsers Keep Disconnecting! :(
I've just got a new pc but internet explorer/firefox are giving me problems; they like to disconnect from the internet every so often and will not reconnect until i restart the pc?! all other programs that are online (ie MSN, etc etc) stay connected fine, but my browsers will not display pages until the pc is restarted.

I've tried a ipconfig/flushdns but still no joy

Worth mentioning that old old PC does not suffer this problem when hooked up to the internet using the same hardware.

Anyone have any ideas about what this could be?

Just to add, i've got another problem as of today, i'm unable to view secure pages! (internet banking, 'my ebay' etc etc ) Could this be related?

do you have a firewall installed on the computer that is haveing this problem?
