Default [Answered] Can't load Yahoo or MySpace??

I can load every website but Yahoo which was my homepage nor MySpace I just found out. This has been going on for 2 days now and is really bugging me. I use Zone Alarm Pro for a firewall but even when I shut it down, Yahoo nor MySpace will load in either iExplore or Firefox. I've tried updating my virus def. in AntiVir Guard and scanning, updating Adaware and scanning. Nothing works. I tried cmd ipconfig/dnsflush, nope.. Anyone know what in the world could be wrong?

Hi troloff, welcome to the PCHF!

Do you get any error messages when you try to goto these pages? Or do they just sit there forever and eventually say "Page cannot be displayed" ??

I doubt Windows Firewall would block 'myspace'

but it could very well do it - as MS have done stupider things before....*cough* mellenium *cough*

It could also be that myspace/yahoo have a time limit on all access - and once you reach it, it will cut off the connection, causing your browser(s) to show 'the connection was reset'. A step to try is decrease your security settings in Internet Explorer to see if this changes anything for you.

If you think it's a virus, please follow the prework link in my signiture and post the resulting logs back in this forum - one of the security team will be more then happy to take a look at them for you.

I think it may be my ISP because for some reason Xbox live was not working for me and so I called customer support and they had an intro message stating people have been having problems with Yahoo, Xbox live, MySpace, certain security issues blah blah, so its my ISP. Thank you for trying to help though I appreciate it alot.
