Default [Resolved] Problem With Downloading...

I have downloaded using Firefox for years and all of a sudden one day it has decided to stop working. What happens is the download window pops up like it always does. I click "save to disk" and "OK" and it instantly says "Downloads Complete" but doesnt really download anything. I am also unable to download stuff with Internet Explorer.

I think I removed Quicktime, MSN Explorer, and Realplayer off of my computer recently. Thats the only thing I've done between the last time Firefox worked and doesnt work now...

Note that I tried doing a system restore to the day before when I knew it worked perfectly fine and that did not work at all.

So what I'm asking is what happened? what do I need to do to get Firefox and/or IE to work again?

Hi there, welcome to the PCHF!

I can honestly say...I have never seen this kind of issue before.

Can you download a file (anything) of around 2mb and tell me how big windows thinks it is once it's downloaded?

i'd say it was just a problem with your isp...maybe.

If it happens again let us know.
