Hi Gummy,

No I don't think so, we've seen a couple of threads like yours specifically referring to Youtube, as a problem.

Did you try uninstalling Shockwave, Flash, and Jave, and then reinstalling all of them?

Did you try going back to Flash version 8?

Looking forward to your reply.

Hm, well i tried uninstalling it again a couple of minutes ago, except this time my flash uninstaller came up with a message saying that ti couldn't complete uninstallation because Flash9.ocx is being used.

Glad you feel better Gummy, LOL.

Try doing the uninstall in Safe Mode, that should release anything that Flash could be interacting with.

Look forward to your reply,

LOL, I just love that little guy, .

To get into Safe Mode, reboot your computer, as it is booting, continually tap the F8 key until either a beep sounds or a menu appears. Use your arrow keys to navigate to Safe Mode, (not With Networking,) hit the Enter Key. You can either log in as yourself or Administrator, usually the Administrator password is blank, just hit Enter.

To see if Shockwave is still listed, you can download Spybot S&D from my signature, install and update it, then click on Modes, choose Advanced. Then click on Tools, Uninstall Info, you can also uninstall Flash version 9 from there.

Looking forward to your reply,

Lol, yeh! He's so cute eh! xD I copied him and use him as an MSN messenger emoticon now

Anyhoo! I got all 3 now, except youtube is STILL not working! *bonks youtube with a hammer*

By the way, what confuses me is that it says Adobe Flash/Shockwave, when on youtube, it says to have Macromedia. ARe adobe and Macromedia the same thing?

LOL, bonks Youtube w/ a hammer. LOL

Yes, at least they are now. It is my understanding that Adobe bought out Macromedia. It shouldn't make any differece.

What I don't understand is why people are specifically having a problem with Youtube. You are also not the only one. Youtube does have an SWF Flash module that encrypts videos so that they can only be used on Youtube. Perhaps that is the problem.

I have emailed their techs, and hope to receive an answer soon.

Looking forward to your reply,
