Default [Fixed] Small yet really annoying problem

A while ago (when i was using IE) loads of the adverts eg: media.fastclick etc started to not load up. Some people might think this is great (no ads), but spoils nice looking web sites with "this page cannot be displayed" . I tried setting everything to default and even a system restore but still didnt work, even the ads on hotmail. I switched to firefox and more adverts are loading up than before, but i still get "this page cannot be found." This happens on most websites with adverts from hotmail to my homepage! Only a small prob but does my head in.

Sounds like you may have some sort of content filtering software running in the background....do you?

Nope, got no stuff like cyper patrol running in the background. I didnt install or uninstall anything to cause the problem. The only things that were installed were windows updates. Could one of the hotfixes etc done it to my sercurity settings? Do your basic windows internet settings affect the system as a whole or just IE?

most likely a problem inside your IE and your FireFox settings...

they generally block alot of **** that you don't need, haven't used IE for such a long time, i can't remember where anything is.
