Our family computer is connected to broadband but we have a problem with the connection and I do not know if it is the modem or the line that is at fault. When we boot up the ADSL light on the external modem is normally off, then is starts to flash and when it stays on, only then can we connect. Thought often it will suddenly loose the connection and the ADSL light at this stage will either be off or flashing, (im hoping this means something). Anyway it is infuriating, and I hope I have given enough detail to get started on solving this problem. :o

i had the same problem with mine for the past couple of days could you click on prework in my signature and follow the instructions and post log file for ewido and hijackthis my problem went away after i deleted some spyware

Thanks, however I am not at home for a week or so and so will try it when i am there. Also what did you mean by "post it for ewido" ? i know the hijack this part.
