Default [Resolved] Internet 'limited or no connectivity'

I have a wireless home network between two computer and everything was working fine, then i installed two dvd drives and problems started occuring. I do not think installing the dvd drives caused this but its the only thing i can remember changing.

After i installed the dvd drives i am not sure whether the internet ran correctly straight after or whether it stopped working there and then. But anyway i noticed the problem when i tried to get on a web page and it didnt load, it just brought up the white page on explorer - mozilla didnt work either. Then shortly after the internet connection icon in the bottom right shows a yellow sign saying limited or no connectivity. i tried repairing the connection but it couldnt, then when i clicked on the netgear wireless assistant (a window that shows the signal strength, mbps and it is hte windows where u put in the wep ect.) it said card not inserted. So i powered off, removed card, inserted card, started up but still said no card inserted. so i powered off, removed card, started up, powered off, inserted card, started up and it recognised it again- it didnt take long for it to say card not inserted though.

I also went into device manager and it had a red cross on the card so i enabled but this still didnt work, also i uninstalled netgear assistant and re-installed but again nothing. I did a restore point to a time when it was working but it didn't work then either - plus a load of stuff i had installed didnt work, so i tuk it back to before i restored the system

Can anyone suggest any reason as to why it is not working?

Thanks, David

Hi David!

I see.
Network is not really my area of expertise, but I've notified our Network specialist.
Do you know what kind of network card is in there?
