Windows 2k Pro home edition on a dell 4100 with belkin wireless desktop card installed and networking with 3 win xp pcs. The win 2k was working fine at first but then we started deleting spyware and run system tools and utilities. The next morning the network would not allow internet access through ie6 yet we were still connected to the router with good signal strenght and could ping IP adresses sending 4 packets and recieving 4 packets. We could not ping host names, and decided to call tech support. We talked with about 10 techies at belkin and were on the phone for over 10 hours and they couldnt help fix the problem. Thats when we thought about getting a set of bootdisks for 2k. We d like to put xp on it and take 2000 right off but... I need to get this networking problem taken care of. wondering what ATIPOLL is and newdot are also.
