Default Internet and Download speed....

Hey, I took a 'test' to confirm my suspicions that my Internet, and downloading is wayy too slow. It is about 40% slower than most computers running on Sprint-hsd.

How can I speed up my internet and download time?? What is wrong? I download things, and it goes between 100-180 KB a second....any help here?

Thanks

Do you have anything between your internet modem and your PC like a router?

Try using THIS (DRTCP) to raise your MTU. Try a MAXMTU setting in the utility of 1500

Also, do you have XP Service Pack 2 installed?
