Default [Fixed] Need Help!

Iam having a very anoying problem ever since i defraged my hardrive my internet has been workin like iam on 56k but its 2 meg!ive formatted twice now iam on a network but the problem wont go away even though i have formatted twice things like online games work find it just when iam trying to browse it is just very very VERY anoying please help any help will be welcomed lol

Hya Spankey , welcome to PCHF.

Have you reinstalled all drivers for youre pc? And does youre ISP and/or modem need separete software , and have you installed that aswell?

Also have you tried resetting the modem?

Iam on a network and my network card is onboard so i have installed all and my pc that gets the internet conection has been formatted and had everything re-installed

Can you try this.

Click start click on run type in command

Then type in ipconfig... then try pinging some sites and see if it is working

For example once the ipconfig screen comes up..type in " ping " google.com and let us know how packets you lose or dont loose.

I think it is aproblem with the firewall on the pc iam gettin the internet throughobnce the firewall is down it isnt half as bad but then i get stuck with the problem of no firewall i use zone alarm any 1 now of another good firewall?
