Default Problem with streaming videos

Ok, this started happening about a month ago. Whenever I try to view a streaming video or sometimes even a saved video, it turns out discolored. The monitor is adjusted right, I have the latest Direct X (9.0c) and the latest drivers. The color correction is set to default. Most of my saved videos work fine. I'm guessing the problem has to do with codecs. I have a lot of random codecs installed and some of them might be having issues. I thought about removing all of them and reinstalling only the ones I need but whenever i click remove it says 'this is required by the system and if you remove it your system might not work properly' so then I don't do it. This is really a problem, and if anyone can help me out, that would be great.

hey rory,

Why not try a new codec pack like this K-Lite Codec Pack ?

Well I don't need that many codecs, plus I'm pretty sure I'm not missing a codec because it worked fine a few months ago and I haven't removed any since then.

I had a prob like that a while back , all my streaming video was very hazy and almost white all of a suddon , normal video played without probs.

after messing around for a while with codecs and not getting anyware i fixed it by updating my video driver.

Maybe it helps for you to :afro:

Yeah that's exactly what happens. My video driver is updated though. Should I try uninstalling it and reinstalling it?

Never hurts to try , just uninstall the old driver first.
