Default [RESOLVED] Game Lag

I have a very decent gaming computer and have been doing fine. I didn't notice it but now I am getting some horrible lag on my own coast servers. I usually get about 15-70 ping and now I am going up and down from 40 to 400 ping. Internet connection isn't my area of expertise so maybe some of you guys know.

AMD Sempron 2200+
768MB ram
XP Pro SP1
160GB WDHD
Linksys WRT54G v2 Router and this computer has a WMP54GS wireless card.

Everything seems fine when browsing but I just get some really bad lag in game and I have nothing that I can think of running in the background that shouldn't be. Here are my processes running:

:-D Hey ESv1,

You do a great job giving the guys what they are going to need to help you.

Just wanted to let you know that the "gurus of gum up" aren't online right now, but I know that they will be along soon.

Howdy ESv1

How long have you been experiencing these lag issues?

I am getting some horrible lag on my own coast servers
This could be an issue with the server providers, I have seen this before in such games as Americas Army.

What game are you playing?

I am playing Counter-Strike Source.

This problem has been fixed. I did some re-arranging and tweaking to the game and installed a kickin' internet optimizer for a small fee. Works 150% better. I just wanted to see if you guys could help me out before I could. Thank you guys for paying attention though.
