this is my 1st post and a problem :-o im having trouble with RAR and Zip files. i have been able to download them and un-pack them without any hassle for a long time. but now, i download a file from a good, descent website, and when i try to un-pack the file, and error comes up.

im just wondering if anyone can help me with my problem? ive already tried un-installing and re-installing both programs and that did not work. i have tried using a download manager aswell (GetRight) and that did not work.

can anyone help me?

the LimeRock file is having the problem. many others are aswell. i have downloaded files at about 300Mb and have not been able to un-pack them due to the problem.

Ive just downloaded that file and had no probs.

What version of winrar are you using?

im using the latest version, 3.5 i think it is.

Could you try uninstalling your Winrar and any other compression programs you have installed. Make sure that no traces of the software are left in the c:\program files directory.

Then reboot your computer and install the latest version of winrar.
