Try removing IE and then installing it again

Go to > Control Panel > Add remove programs > Add/remove Windows Components > un-tick Internet Explorer in the list (this will un-install IE) > click next and come out of that window. Then go back in and put a tick back next to Internet Explorer (this re-installs a clean copy). Click next and exit out of Control Panel.

One quick thing before I do this. Is there a way I can save my internet explorer favorites before I reinstall?

I don't think its needed to make a backup for this but you can make a copy of youre favorites folder to be safe.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Favorites (re-place administrator with youre name)
