Fully update your XP install (you don't have to add SP2 if you don't want to).

Nice thought Spacekid. Have you run MS Antispyware or Ad-Aware?

many thanks for the reply...sorry could not reply back last night ...had to attend to the littleun as she was poorly...

I have run Microsoft Antispyware as well as Adware...still no joy.
