No its not, i know of Thunderbird though as an email client. This is produced by the Mozilla Foundation.

If you are using Firefox then it would probably be better (security-wise) for you to use the integrated FF mail application IMHO. I can't really see any reason why you would want to continue to use OE.

its just what i`m used to, noticed ff comes with wanadoo do i have to stick with that, used it b4 and didn`t take to it. Plus it means changing all my settings doesn`t it its taken me all my time to finally get it running something like (not a novice HONEST :-()

I am not familiar with FF but I do use Mozilla to test PCHF - I don't think you need a Wannadoo component to use the pop mail part of that browser - but like I say, no expert with open source browsers...probably best left to people with more experience in this to answer you properly.
