Default [Answered] New window is blank

When my friend clicks on a link which opens a new window, the new window is always blank and there is the word done in the bottom screen.
He's tried it on multiple websites and waited but its still the same. He's on Windows 98. Could it be spyware?

Thanks.

I know the following works with IE6 - it may be worth trying if your friend has a different version...

Go to Start > Run > type regsvr32 urlmon.dll
