I get a critical error saying there is a problem with my internet connection.

It lists 2 things it could be:

-Someone has tampered with your computer
-System is down.

I know my system isn't down because my laptop's internet works fine.

I am on Windows XP home edition and I just ran a virus scan and nothing came up. Also, ran spybot and Ad-aware.

I used the system restore function and that gets my internet back for awhile. However, when I go to bikemovies.com and try and download videos it brings the message back and stops my connection from working.

Is this a hacker messing with my computer?
What should I do to get rid of this problem?

Hi and welcome to PC Help Forum.com

Two things;

1) Do you have a firewall, hardware or software?

2) Can you download videos from anywhere else LIKE HERE ?

Hi,

Thanks for the warm welcome.

1. I don't have firewall hardware or software.

2. After that message comes up it disables my internet completely. I can't even open internet explorer.

Your mentioning of firewall hardware or software got me thinking and I went into the CONTROL PANEL and opened NETWORK CONNECTIONS. Then I right clicked on my connection and went into properties. I opened the advanced tab and enabled my Internet Connection Firewall.

I feel like I should have done that a long time ago.

So far that seems to have fixed my problem.

That's good news. Are you saying that you can now use bikemovies.com (cool site) and download the movies from there without the connection being dropped?
