Default Need help with hijackthis log
I've done all the prework. tried to run avg in safemode but it got hung up. Ran superantispyware and ccleaner. Cleaned stuff up......but then ran avg in normal mode. My cd drive still isn't showing. So, I know I'm not completely clean. Here is what hijack this found:

I see no malware in your log but you do need to update your Java..

Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update to the latest version if required.
Before installing go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
Then install the newest version.
Updating Java:
Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u6 (Java SE Downloads).

And what about the Trojan horse files in my AVG vault? I can't figure out how to copy what's in the vault to show you.

All you want is Java SE.As for the file in the vault its safe,its in quarantine.It no longer harmful.

So, I should just leave the Trojan stuff there? Doesn't seem very safe. Is there no way to get rid of it? I'm trying to fix up this computer to sell to a friend and am not comfortable selling with that stuff on there.

Its safe to leave.They are in quarrantined.If you are that worried then remove AVG and those item will go to.
