Mathew if you plan to reinstall the operating system or another one.

You can just set first boot to CD/DVD rom popin install disk and during instillation delete the partition and then create a new one.

Or remove the hard drive and fit as a slave to another computer and format it as a slave.

Mathew you are most welcome.

Add as a slave and go into disk management and format that way.

If you format it 2-3 times all data will proberly be unrecoverable by anyone else.

If you downloaded the ZIP file it contains an ISO and an EXE. You must first unzip it and either burn the ISO to a blank CD/DVD or double-click the EXE which will then install it to a floppy or flash drive. Don't just copy them or it won't work.

Then all that's left to do is to restart the PC with your medium of choice still inserted and it should boot to DBAN. If it doesn't and just goes straight to Windows you'll need to configure the boot order in the BIOS setup and make it point to the floppy/USB/CD/DVD-ROM first.
