Default HDD Health Monitor and Speedfan (free)

Given the number of issues I've seen with hard disk drive failures and users losing their files I thought it might be useful to offer a free easy to use aid.

HDD Health is a free little utility that monitors the temperature and health of your hard drives and uses no resources in doing so.

Works with most of the hard drives available on the market today.

It simply runs in your system tray and can be configured to do various things including sending you an email of impending failure.

Perhaps such a warning might help some from experiencing the agonizing loss of precious irreplaceable data by backing it up before it's too late.

Yes I have it running on six machines here at home.

I'm a bit disturbed to note that my newest SATA drives that I thought were my best ones are in fact the worst.

My Maxtor and Hitachi (the oldest by far) are showing as 100% whereas my Seagates are only at 68%, 75%, and 83% respectively yet are the most recent acquisitions.

Have to wonder if that tells me something?
