Hey Beeobee, Nah, we never give up, sometimes things get lost, but we never give up!

So, if we need to go the bootable CD route, here is what I would like you to do;
First go to Bootdisk.com, and download the XP Fresh Install bootable CD ISO, it will cost you $4, but he is a really good guy doing a really fine service, so in the big picture of things it is little enough to ask.

Next you will need to go to The Official ImgBurn Website
Install and open IMGBurn.
Click Write image file to disc
Under Source, click the browse for a file button to the right (folder with a magnifying glass)
Locate the XP Boot CD.iso and click Open
Set the write speed to 24 - it's better to burn at a slower speed to prevent errors.
Click the Write button.
After it has completed - try to boot pc from the boot disc as you did before.
With any luck, it should boot you into a virtual drive named A:
At the A prompt, you will want to type in FDISK, and hit Enter.
From FDISK, you want to first Delete all partitions, Then Create a Partition using the entire HDD space, you will want to answer yes to enabling large disk support, and FAT 32 file system. The you will need to Activate the Partition.
After completing the creation, you will want to return to BIOS, changing back to the CD player as the first boot option. With the OS CD in the machine, restart. The disk should recognize that the drive has not yet been formatted, and begin formatting into NTFS.
Then you should be able to reinstall Windows.
If you have any trouble or questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We'll be looking forward to your reply,
