OK, I had a Floppy Disk inside My AST Laptop, I pushed the Button, and it slid out, but when i pulled on it, it was stuck, so, I jerked at it and the Metal and the Disk came out, BUT..... The Metal Spring in The Metal pulled, was nowhere, I think its still in there.

Im Scared becuase If I put A floppy in there, It could Either:
1. Paralize The Drive FOREVER
2. Catch Fire
And the Scariest Part:
3. Go Boom

Why? Because it could do stuff in there and destoy stuff OR do something BAD.

HELP!

IM TO AFRAID TO TURN IT ON NOW!

This is obviously a hardware problem.
Take it to a computer repair shop.

Well you don't have many options. I don't think the spring would be in the floppy drive and the easiest way to find out would be to destroy the floppy disk and see if the springs in it.

Otherwise you can take the floppy drive out of the laptop - give it a little shake if it sounds like the spring is in there - then try to get out.

Or you could take a risk and try putting a disk in it and see what happens - I don't think it'll catch fire or go boom, but you never know i've been wrong before, lol.

Ultimately it's up to you which you decide to try.
