Default injured computer

hello, i am having a lot of problems. when i start my computer, chkdsk has to check drv d: vol 1. when it says usn verification completed, it stops and does nothing. i power off, then back on, this time, skipping the check. now my computer seems really slow and d: is inaccessible. error pforming inpage operation. what happened? is it too late to back up my files? please help.

Try booting into safe-mode (by tapping F8 at boot) - then run scandisk on your drives when in Windows.

From Windows: Right click My Computer, Manage, Storage, Disk Management, right-click C:, Properties, Tools, Check Now, Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

if the d: drive is the one not working, should i select it instead of c

ok, i got an error saying, the dependency service or group failed to start.

You'll need to get more information about that error - use your event viewer to find out what service failed.
