Default Partitioning vs RAID vs seperate

hey guys!

I use my PC for work and for gaming. As I am building a PC, I was wondering if it was better to have 2 seperate hard drives (one for gaming and one for work) with or without RAID or should I buy one hard drive and just partition that. I have no idea what was is better please advise...

also, if I buy an OEM hard drive, what additional connectors and screws do I need?

cheers

Hi if you have a single 500GB HDD and Partition it using QTParted in the Kubuntu Live CD OS then you can have two OS's installed on them both ie, XP and Vista or XP and Ubuntu.

I've no idea which is better, Personnal choice I suppose. I have 1 HDD fitted and use an external Enclosure in which i can put any of the spare HDD's I have and use as storage.
Should you buy OEM you'll just get the drive. The connectors required should have come with your Motherboard ( they usually supply an IDE cable and a SATA cable if it's needed.as for screws you should get them with your drive if not motherboards usually have a bag of spare bits and pieces
