I am considering purchasing a new P.C. and would like some feedback on hard drives. What would suggestions be to purchase a good hard drive and what hard drives would be good to stay away from. I would like to install 2 hard drives in the area of 250-300 GB. I have used two in the past, using the second one as a back-up drive.

Western Digital for me

WD or Seagate. They arn't really any bad ones to stay away from to be honest, but these two I would say are the leaders.

Samsung are good. WD and Seagate also at the top of my list.

WD & Seagate for me, I've had good experiences with my Hitachi drive as well. Maxtor however is a brand that I will not use again

Only western digital for me. Ive had so many seagate drives fail on me i wont ever buy one again. Samsung is supposed to be pretty good, but i havent used one.
