Whenever i try to paste/save a file to a memory stick connected to my laptop it brings up a copy of it either in the middle or at the end of my taskbar (bottom bar on windows). I can click on these but not open them, delete them or anything and they dont go away when the memory stick is removed. I have tried different memory sticks, restarting the computer different ports and the same thing still happens. Any help?

(I'm on windows XP SP2)

Odd one this....what happens to that file? Is it clickable? Does it appear as a "toolbar" if you right click on the Start bar?

Yeah thanks that helped, dont know if it will get rid of it long term but it should work.

For anyone else that has this problem; I just had to right click, go to toolbars and unselect the blank box, it took the icons away.

EDIT : it dosent seem to come back again, seems to be permanantly fixed. Thankyou again
