Default Laptop Hard drives Running low...

Hi...Guys...,
Well need your help , see currently i'm using an HP DV2000 laptop and inside the hard disk drives is only 80GB where about 10-15GB is the data recovery software built in thus leaving me with only 65GB. Now after installing some items ,i'm only left with 1GB.

First question: If i don't want to buy an external hard disk due to its bulky-ness, is it possible if i take out all the application installed currently inside my laptop and placed it
in an external hard disk and change to a bigger internal hard disk or maybe burn it into
a DVD as a recovery disk..?

Second Question:Is there any way we can install two hard disk into a laptop ?(Its Silly but for a noob like me , its a learning quest..!) Can we transfer data from laptop to a new bigger hard disk the easy way?

Thanks.........

first thing I would do is open my computer right click c: and click properties then click disk cleanup then more options system restore and clean them up with your system this should clean up some space to start with.
You could take a ghost image of your hard drive but this will use a lot of dvds and if one goes funny it will be a waste of time. If you got hold of a 2and half inch hdd adapter to usb you could then clone your hard disk to a bigger drive

Also you might use CCleaner (linked below). It's a very thorough program that gets rid of a lot of useless stuff (old logs, cookies etc...) and you might find it recovers a lot of space

Here's the link CCleaner - Home
When (or if) you install, be sure to deselect the option that installs the Yahoo toolbar

no what I said was a usb 2.5 inch hard drive adapter Maplin > 2.5-Inch SATA / IDE Hard Drive eSATA / USB Enclosure something like that . Its an example I know you will not buy from there, First of all you assertain if your exising hard drive is ide or sata then you connect the new drive to the adapter and connect it to the pc you can then use some disk imaging software to clone your operating system to the usb drive then you install it to the laptop and it should just work losing nothing.
Some info on cloning backup software Free Hard Disk Backup and Restore, Hard Disk Image and Cloning Utilities (thefreecountry.com)
