Yes 127.0.0.1 is localhost. I only used it as an example because i have no idea what you changed the ip to. You're going to have to have to enter the ip address that you changed it to when you try to access it that way.

Also what are the ip addresses of the pc and NAS drive.

Did you configure the ip to be on the same ip range as the one your pc is on? Eg pc is 192.168.1.10 / 255.255.255.0 NAS 192.168.1.??? / 255.255.255.0

If so download this tool and run a scan - it will find the ip of the NAS drive, so then you can hopefully access it.

Download Radmin, Download Remote Administrator, download radmin 3, download remote administrator 3.1

Even if you roughly know what you may have changed it to e.g. 192.168.1.??? or 10.0.0.??? etc you should still be able to scan with this tool and find the ip. If still have problems post back with both your pc's ip and what you think the NAS drive may be and we'll be able to help you better.

i think it was something like 192..x.x.x

but that program just finds my pc's IP and my laptop, but not my NAS even when its plugged into the net and is turned on....this sucks, why did i change the IP and not write it down!!!
