If you're willing to pay for a program to do this, I believe Norton Ghost does that. I'd wait for verification, though. There's also a Seagate utility specifically designed for that, if you get a Seagate. I don't know if this utility comes with all Seagate drives, and I'm especially unsure of laptop drives, but I know quite a few have that type of software bundled.
