I currently have a 8 GB (C hard drive that is full. I have a 30 GB HD that is slaved with
nothing on it. How can I switch my drives around and not lose what I already have on the
C: drive (XP OS, Anti virus etc.

Hi Ides,
Welcome to PCHF
You will need to clone the 8GB drive to the 30GB using a program like HDClone ( there is a free version) and then resize the partition to utilize the other 22GB on the drive. the program Partition Magic can do it for you but it's not free. I'm not sure if you can resize through Windows because I've never had to do it, but I'm sure someone else on here will know.

now that I cloned the harddrive I am still getting messages that I'm running out space but I know my hard drive has the space but the clone only cloned the space I needed. How can I repartition the
the hard drive. I'm using XP NTFS. I looked on the net but all the free stuff isn't really free, you can download, launch, but once you ask it to resize they tell you that you need to purchase, why spend
$40 to $60 on something you will use once. Any suggestions?
